The sportswear trend has been adding laid-back chic to our wardrobes for the last decade, and it doesn’t seem to be dying down. You can see it everywhere from fashion joggers, bomber jackets, designer sweatshirts, and fun sneakers.
This blouse gave me major TOMMY X GIGI vibes with the sporty detailing on the sleeves. It is still wearable without seeming like I am following a trend, and is slightly cropped for a touch of sexiness. I’m petite so you can only see it’s cropped when I lift my arms, which is how I like it anyways.
I envisioned this blouse paired with white sneakers and a sleek high pony, but my white sneakers were unfortunately more grey than white. I guess they need a cleaning! It is so hard to keep white sneakers perfectly white so if you have any tips, leave them in the comment section.
I also decided to rock my natural curly hair. As I’ve gotten older I have started to love my curly hair more. I remember when I was younger all I wanted was straight hair, and I even tried to convince my mom to let me have it chemically straightened. Thank goodness she didn’t listen! At the time all of my friends had straight hair, and it was really on trend in the late 90’s/early 2000’s to have pin straight hair. You always want what you can’t have, but as you get older you become more comfortable with yourself. Sometimes I still wish I had straight hair so I could have fun with different hairstyles, but I do love being able to wake up and go without having to spend time on my hair. I also never have to worry about adding volume in my hair. If anything, I have to worry about making sure my hair isn’t too big. Like Gretchen Weiners…it’s full of secrets.
Did you ever want a different hair when you were younger?
