The Zara Coat You Need to Transition into Spring

Sky Blue Wool Zara Coat and Chloe Drew | Dallas fashion blogger

Each season I pick up a few pieces at Zara here and there. They’re always on trend and probably the #1 retailer leading the fast fashion trend. Normally Zara and quality are not synonymous. When you’re trying to get the Fashion Week trends to the mainstream as quickly as possible, it’s hard to have quality pieces, right?

However, over the years I have definitely found some chic and quality finds from this high street retailer for a good price. When they get it right they get it right. Let me introduce you to this sky blue Zara coat – it’s almost 50% wool, handmade, and under $200. I think that speaks for itself. Keep reading to find out more about this perfect transitional coat.

My recent Zara find

I know you are probably thinking I am crazy right now – $200 for a coat at Zara. I’m no longer looking for items to throw in and out of my closet every season. In my opinion, it’s a waste of money and leaves me in the dreaded situation of I have no idea what to wear.

I have come to realize over the years that quality cannot be faked. Now that doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot to find quality items for your wardrobe. In fact, you can even find them at Zara – just like this handmade coat, yes that’s right. All it takes is having a detailed eye and remaining selective on the items you choose to bring home.

My first rule is that if I am not immediately excited by the item or if that love starts to fade while shopping then it is a definite no. Don’t buy an item because you think you should have it in your closet.

Before going into the dressing room or clicking add to cart for my online shoppers, I always check the material because that really affects what I am willing to pay – no matter how much I love it.

I’m not interested in opting for fully synthetic materials because like I said you cannot fake quality.

This Zara coat does have some synthetic material but it is 42% wool and that is hard to find on the high street. Wool coats can easily run $500 plus so I consider this a great find.

This wool coat offers a cool relaxed fit with a classic shape in this fun color. This coat is on the thinner side for a wool coat so it won’t work for the tundras of winter. However, it is that perfect transitional Spring coat when it is still a bit chilly but not freezing. This Zara piece will brighten up those cold and grey days to make you feel like Spring is near.

Such a pretty color for this coat! I also paid $200 at Zara for a black coat last year. I still use it because the quality is amazing. I’m with you though, it’s totally worth it!
