I am a big advocate for investing in classic and versatile items that will be in your wardrobe season after season. This is, of course, all based on personal taste because what I think may stand the test of time may be considered trendy for you. I try to think of investment items in terms of cost per wear. If I know I will wear an item continuously then it is well worth the price in my opinion.

I generally prefer to spend my hard earned dollars on handbags because 1) it’s where my heart is and 2) I believe handbags last longer than luxury shoes because I don’t put my handbag on the dirty ground.

However, knowing that you have a few classic investment sandals and boots in your collection is helpful to build your wardrobe from each season.

MY CURRENT FAVORITE INVESTMENT SANDALS

Hermes Oran Let’s just call them the luxury sandals of all luxury sandals. I wrote a previous blog post on my initial thoughts on these Hermes beauties and it hasn’t changed. These classic sandals will never go out of style and come in so many different colors and materials. I have been lusting after the white version. Every Summer outfit I can envision pairs perfectly with this simple sandal. If you aren’t quite ready to make the plunge then try these Steve Madden dupes (they’re under $80).

Alexander Wang Lou – If you consider yourself a fashionista or like to add a bit of edge to your looks then this is a great alternative to the girly and airy items typically associated with Spring. I wouldn’t say these are the most comfortable in the world, but they definitely add a statement that no other shoe can. For Spring and Summer, I love pairing these shoes with a white dress or floral blouse for some juxtaposition.

Stuart Weitzman Caesar I am so mad these sandals are no longer in their collection because these are the perfect grab and go sandals for any Spring and Summer look. You can still find this shoe on eBay. It’s a great shoe to wear when you need to walk because the gladiator style secures your foot. I previously owned these in metallic gold but wore them to the ground, and had to opt for the classic black pair.

Loeffler Randall Finley – Now this isn’t exactly considered a classic shoe, but if you know anything about me you will know that I love a good pop of pink. It’s the perfect shoe for a pop of color to a neutral or simple look. I also wanted to provide you with an investment scandal that is a great evening option. While the heel is definitely low enough for every day, I am more of a flats girl so these would be a great shoe for dinner, drinks with friends or an evening out.

CURRENTLY IN MY CART FOR THIS SEASON

Ash Poison Sandals a quality dupe for the Valentino version. I’ve from some bloggers who own both that they actually prefer the less expensive version. I am loving them in this pink color.

Saint Laurent I know these look quite similar to the Hermes Oran sandals, but can you ever go wrong with a simple leather sandal. I’ve also heard that once these are broken in they feel like butter.

I love the pink sandals in the How to Master Wearing Polka Dot picture! They’re so cute!!! These are definitely investments though. I haven’t bought a pair of sandals over $20 and if they aren’t flashy, I still complain about that lol I can admit that since my style is growing and I am becoming more invested into myself, $20 isn’t such a bad price and neither is $50. I’m still working on going up from there though lol!

Thank you for such a nice comment! These definitely are investments and everyone has a price point they are comfortable with. It feels really good to save up your money and buy yourself something nice. It’s like a goal that you have achieved and when I look at each of my nice items it makes me happy that I did it all myself 🙂 You will definitely get there!
