Happy Friday Friends! It is one of the best days of the week, and I hope you have some great plans for the weekend. Even if that means you plan on doing nothing because sometimes that is much needed.

This is my third Friday Favorites post where I talk all about things I am loving in various categories and any upcoming plans. Check out my previous Friday Favorites posts here. I have been shopping like crazy lately (which also means dealing with those pesky returns) to find the best Summer items for you all. If you can’t tell Summer is my favorite season, and I feel like that is when all of the best products come out.

Keep reading to learn about my current favorites in fashion, beauty, books, and a few of my Summer plans.

FASHION

  • Normally I am pro-LBD all year round, but this season I have been in love with the LWD. Check out these three white dresses I have just purchased that I am completely in love with (here, here, and here).
  • I have discovered a dupe for the coveted Cartier love bracelet and it is under $50. It comes in gold, silver, and rose gold. I just purchased the silver.
  • If you have been in love with my Hermes Oran sandals but don’t quite want to pull the trigger, Steve Madden has come out with a dupe for under $80. They have been a big hit amongst the fashion blogging community.
  • I recently purchased the Prada canvas tote as my new travel and errand bag. I have already gotten so much use out of it and it is the perfect overnight bag. I’m happy I went with the small size as it’s perfect for my needs my petite frame.

BEAUTY

  • Switzerland isn’t blessed with extended periods of sunshine making getting a good tan difficult. I have been looking for the perfect self-tanning products, and St. Tropez is one of the most well-known self-tanning ranges. However, it was their new Purity range that really caught my attention because it’s meant to be transfer-proof meaning you don’t ruin your white clothes. I purchased the body mousse, the facial mist that won’t clog your pores, a tanning mitt, and the tan extender body lotion. It’s really important to use a body lotion that is oil free to keep your tan looking perfect.
  • I recently wrote a blog post about how I am improving my hormonal acne with natural products. I already saw a difference in two weeks so if you suffer from pesky blemishes then you might want to give it a read. I hope it helps!
  • I can’t stop painting my nails in the same nude color for months now. I think it is so chic and you never have to worry about your nails clashing with your outfit again.

BOOKS

I made a goal for myself in 2018 to get back into reading, which was a pastime I used to enjoy. Here is a list of all of the books I have read lately. I love mystery and thriller novels so all of these will be in that genre.

  • The Woman in the Window: A recluse who is unable to leave her apartment spends her days watching movies, drinking and spying on her neighbors. She becomes obsessed with the new family who moves across the street and one night sees something horrible happen in their home through her window.
  • The Wife Between Us: I had to take the excerpt from the bio because it explains this book perfectly, “When you read this book, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing.”
  • The Girl Before: It’s soon to be a movie directed by Ron Howard. The book is about a woman desperate to find a new place to live and stumbles across an architectural masterpiece where the anal architect insists that all tenants must abide by a long list of crazy rules. After moving in, she learns of the mysterious death of the previous tenant and begins to realize they have a bit too much in common for her comfort.
  • Behind Closed Doors: I am currently reading this book, and I will warn you it is quite creepy. The reviews were so great that I have to finish the book, but it’s not one of those feel-good lay by the beach/pool reads. It’s about two newlyweds, Grace and Jack, who look like the perfect couple and are inseparable. You soon realize that Grace doesn’t have her own phone, email, can never meet friends for coffee or essentially go anywhere without Jack. Is it true love or a marriage filled with lies?

COMING UP

  • My birthday is coming up at the end of this month (the big 2-6) so expect a blog post around then about things I’ve learned in my life. You can check out last year’s post for 25 life lessons I learned in 25 years. I remember 13 I was excited to finally be a teenager, 16 you can drive in the US, 18 you are a legally an adult, 21 you can drink in the US, and for 25 I was excited to be in my mid-20’s because it sounded more mature. However, 26 is a bit boring, right?
  • Next month I will be going to Italy to see my family for a quick visit and I plan on sharing the trip with you all. For those who don’t know, I am half Italian and half American (dual citizen) and we go every year to visit my dad’s family since he is the only one who has left. We will be in Milan for a few days and then head to a small town in central Italy to see my fam. Follow me on Instagram to see all of the action as that is where I will definitely be the most active!
