One of my favorite sales of the year is right around the corner – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I shop this sale every year and always come away with great finds that become staples in my wardrobe.
Why do I love this sale so much?
First of all, Nordstrom happens to be one of my favorite retailers. They have a great mix of high street and higher end price points, trendy and classic items, and you can’t beat the customer service. Secondly, the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is a great way to shop for new season items at a discount.
Most sales include items from the previous season so the retailer can make room for new items, but not this sale. As a veteran sale shopper and Nordstrom lover, I wanted to share everything you need to know about the infamous Nordstrom Anniversary Sale from important dates, past finds, tips on how to shop the sale better, and more.
Everything You Need to Know About the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
IMPORTANT DATES:
- July 11th – Level 4 cardholders can shop the sale before anyone else in store
- July 12th – All Nordstrom Credit Cardholders have early access to the sale until July 19th. That means you can shop the sale a week before the general public and make sure you grab those coveted pieces before they are sold out. If you don’t already own a Nordstrom credit card, I suggest you apply for one today. I receive no commission for anyone signing up for a card. It is just a great way to take advantage of Nordstrom benefits including earning 2 points per dollar spent!
- July 20th – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to everyone
- August 5th – the final day to shop the sale before prices go up
TIPS FOR SHOPPING THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE:
- TIP #1: Take a look at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale catalogue to get a first look at some items that will be included in the sale.
- TIP #2: Go through your wardrobe and think about those items that you really need. From there create a wishlist of these must-have items so you can make sure to score those first before getting distracted by all of the pretty items on sale. Are you needing more blazers for work? Do you need more basic tees? Are you looking for a pair of classic nude pumps? These are my favorite FYI.
- TIP #3: I suggest shopping the sale from the comfort of your own home rather than dealing with the crazy crowds or having to sift through everything. One of my favorite things about shopping at Nordstrom online is all of the great filters offered so I can really narrow the selection down to items I actually want. You can choose to have your items shipped to you for free or you can opt for curbside pick-up which means you don’t even have to leave your car.
- TIP #4: If you are unsure about an item you should just buy it. Normally I only recommend buying items that you are absolutely in love with because I feel if you have to think too much then you must not really be in love with it. However, items during the Anniversary sale sell out fast and Nordstrom has an awesome return policy.

Nordstrom is literally one of the only places I shop at. Such high-quality items and they actually carry my shoe size (I have big feet haha). The anniversary sale is like Christmas for me. Great tips!
