Friday Favorites #4

I love sharing with my readers little glimpses into my life through my blog and my Instagram and highlighting items that I am loving at the moment. It’s a great way to discover new brands, new products that you must try, and to find out what you should really spend your money on. About to get a little geeky here, but I think it is so interesting how consumer marketing has changed. I now predominately look for recommendations and reviews from bloggers and find fashion inspiration on Instagram. It is refreshing to hear content from a real person rather than being sold something in a magazine or on TV.

Now there is a debate going on about how real are these bloggers are now that the industry has become lucrative. Of course, there are some who only wish to gain profit rather than creating a community, which has given the blogging world a bit of a bad reputation.

However, I have always believed that actions speak louder than words. It is always important for bloggers to remember that the products and companies you support represent you. I try to think of it in terms of would I recommend this product/brand if I wasn’t being given free products or payment. Just something I have been thinking about recently.

MY FRIDAY FAVORITES

1.  I just can’t stop using my Prada Canvas bag. I have used it as an everyday bag, travel bag, and even an overnight bag. Great investment bag that I highly recommend. Check out this blog post for more information.
2. I have been having a very stressful and draining last few days. Luckily I had a hair appointment scheduled and never realized how getting your hair done can do wonders for your mood.
3. I have discovered a new brand for more affordable Summer dresses, Reformation. The brand is cool and provides great wardrobe staples.
4. I have rediscovered my love for The Real Real, a luxury consignment website. If you are looking to invest in some designer items this is a great way to save money.
5. Europe is going through a major heatwave at the moment and since we don’t have air conditioning it has been hard. I have been craving chilled pasta salads as a refreshing meal.  I made one recently that had green and black olives, sundried tomatoes, feta, and cucumber topped with an easy vinaigrette I create.
6. I finally finished the book, The Breakdown. If you are looking for an end of the Summer read then I suggest checking this out. It is another suspenseful novel that will keep you on your toes until the very end.
7. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is on Netflix now and reminds me so much of my childhood. My boyfriend always laughs because I can rap the intro word for word.
8. My favorite brand of wedges, Castañer, is having a moment right now. They are decently priced and very high quality. You can see me wearing a pair in this blog post. 
9. I am still obsessing over iDeal of Sweden phone cases. Their designs are some of the prettiest I have seen. I purchased a new phone and of course, had to order a few new phone cases. USE CODE IDE2PNKPX TO GET 20% OFF YOUR ORDER.
10. The infamous early 2000’s Dior saddle bag is back! I was obsessed with this bag back in the day, and am highly considering picking up one either on the Real Real or eBay.
