Recently on the blog, I compiled a list of my favorite Amazon fashion finds and designer dupes. After receiving so many comments and questions on these Chanel inspired shoes I knew they deserved their own dedicated blog post. I’m not normally one to opt for the dupe version as it never quite satisfies my obsession for the real thing. Anyone else or just me?

However, this past year I have been having a lot of fun discovering some amazing dupes that people often think are the real thing like these Chanel inspired slingbacks, which have quickly become my go-to for an easy but polished look. I hope one day to add the actual Chanel version to my wardrobe, but for now, these give me those Chanel vibes at a fraction of the price.

If you are unsure about splurging on the real thing, I highly recommend opting for the dupe to see if you even like it or if it works with your lifestyle. If you decide to make the big purchase then at least you can walk in with 100% confidence that it will be worth the price tag and spending your hard earned cash.

I love pairing these Chanel inspired slingbacks with raw hem denim. It dresses up your denim but still looks casual enough to wear when running errands, grabbing lunch with friends, or a dinner date with the boyfriend.

Food for thought – 

I’m all for dupes to help people decide if they want to purchase the real thing or to give you the vibes of that specific designer since most of us don’t have an unlimited budget. I wish! However, there is a fine line between dupes and fakes.

Dupes are inspired pieces that give you the feel of that designer without trying to pass it off as Chanel or Gucci, etc. This is something I’m pretty passionate about (in case you couldn’t tell) so if you would like a dedicated blog post all about dupes/inspired items vs fakes just let me know in the comments below!
