I know it’s only early November and winter doesn’t technically start until around Christmas, but I like to create these capsule wardrobe blog posts far in advance to give you plenty of time to curate your wardrobe for the season and shop some upcoming sales. 

I previously wrote a fall capsule wardrobe blog post and many of those items can still transition into the winter (a few are included in this post again because they’re just classics). However, as the temperatures drop, I felt like I needed to extend beyond that post and provide you with great cold-weather options.

If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, a capsule wardrobe is essentially a curated collection of items – usually no more than 25 – that you can mix and match to create outfits for the whole season. Think of this as your winter wardrobe arsenal that will take you from day-to-night.

These western style boots are EVERYWHERE and can be worn over a pair of leather leggings and a cozy sweater or paired with a sweater dress. Boots with dresses are always a good go-to come winter rather than always opting for pants.

There is something so incredibly chic about styling white jeans in the winter with a cream sweater for a full tonal look. The rules of not wearing white after Labor Day are long gone and now you can winter whites in the colder months. Yes, please!

If you’re looking to invest in one coat this season a belted wrap coat, especially in a camel color, will be your best option. Not only is it cozy like a chic bathrobe you can wear outside but it will also be that coat to go with any outfit whether casual or dressy.
