Are Golden Goose Sneakers Worth The Price Tag?

When I was first introduced to the Golden Goose sneaker trend I never thought I would jump on the bandwagon. The “worn” look wasn’t my style and the price tag was steep for someone who rarely wears sneakers outside of the gym. But the more I saw the Golden Goose sneakers styled I realized there were many different ways to wear them.

I tend to view my purchases as cost per wear rather than just a price tag.

I’m willing to spend more money on items that are high quality, can easily transition from season to season, and will go with multiple items in my current wardrobe. I don’t want to have to buy new items to make something work with my style.

The Golden Goose sneakers were incredibly comfortable from the first wear, which is hard to find. They are an easy way to dress down any outfit and are perfect for travel. If you have any trips coming up where you’ll be doing a lot of walking then these are the shoes for you.

If you’re thinking that you still can’t justify the price tag then keep an eye out for sales (like the sale going on at SSENSE). I suggest acting fast since the Golden Goose sneakers are sought after they go quickly. I was eyeing these sneakers for a year before I purchased them but was never able to find the styles I liked on sale.

If you’re a Nordstrom cardholder I recommend using one of your double or triple point days towards this purchase.
