The first day of fall officially starts tomorrow so it’s time to transition to autumn fashion – even though it still feels like summer in Texas. Yellow has been one of the trendiest colors to style this year and continues to be an on-trend fall color you will want to incorporate into your wardrobe. Not only was it one of Pantone’s colors of the year, but it is a surprisingly flattering color on several different skin tones.
In the last few years, I’ve played around with accents of yellow in my accessories, but 2021 was the year I finally embraced yellow. I always felt that my skin tone didn’t complement yellow, but it’s all about finding the right shade for you. Soft butter yellow to warmer mid-tones yellows seems to compliment my coloring the best.
Did you know soft buttery yellow can act as a great neutral and an updated fall color?
If you’re unsure how to style yellow for fall pair it with warm browns, rust shades, navy, and green for an unexpected pop of color. By keeping the rest of the look more neutral and simple you let yellow be the focal point. Dark shades will bring the yellow down while whites and other bold colors will keep the yellow bright and poppy.
If you love to make a bold statement this fall be on the lookout for red, cobalt, orange, and hot pink for unexpected fall colors that can easily pair well with shades of yellow.

Yellow is such a happy color, I love this fall look especially cause I feel like yellow is typically only used in spring or summer!
