I can say without a doubt that I never thought you would hear me raving about Walmart fashion. Not since the days of their Mary Kate & Ashley fashion line, have I thought about checking out Walmart for affordable looks. But whoever is in charge of their buying department is clearly paying attention to trends and quality.
I recently purchased 2 Walmart fashion pieces for spring that I know I’ll be wearing nonstop.
If you’ve been following me for a while then you’ll know I have a thing for fabric. Whether I’m spending $30 or $300 I want to know the item I’m getting is quality and that usually means natural fabrics. Both of my recent Walmart purchases are 100% cotton and under $50! I am so happy that more affordable brands are finally incorporating natural fabrics into their lines because everyone deserves to find quality pieces—regardless of your budget.
Both Walmart fashion finds are from their Free Assembly line, which seems to be their more classic yet fun brand. This blue and white striped sweater looks like a close dupe for the infamous Toteme sweater that is over $500! Yeah not paying for that for a sweater. The yellow piping detail is my favorite part because it makes it so easy to transition into spring where bright colors are going to be everywhere. When I saw this classic trench I knew I had to grab it—100% cotton and only $45! It has an oversized fit, which will be great when transitioning into spring and sweaters are still needed. If you don’t already own a trench coat then run quickly before this one sells out. A trench is the perfect transitional piece for spring and fall and elevates even the most simple look.
This just goes to show that you can find quality pieces even at Walmart.
