If you asked me a few years ago I would have said I’m not much of a pink girl…but I have come to learn that it’s not only my favorite color, but it is also my favorite neutral. I know you’re probably thinking pink isn’t a neutral…just hear me out.
Pink is a universally flattering color whether you look best in blush or the brightest shade – it looks great on everyone and pairs well with any color. My favorite way is styling pink and red together for an unexpected combination.
This feminine hue is a quintessential spring and summer color so I created a shoppable collage to help you find ways to add more into your wardrobe.
The easiest way to start is to add just a pop of pink to a neutral look if this isn’t a color you typically choose. Style a pair of statement jeweled earrings (#3) with a simple white cotton top and casual ripped denim for an elevated casual look. Or you can throw on a pink handbag (#2) with a basic LBD – something every woman owns.
If you’re a bit more daring or want to be really fashion-forward, go for a total monochromatic look. In order to not look like a carbon copy of Elle Woods or bottle of Pepto Bismol, pair different shades of pink together. Find a pair of bright tailored trousers (#8) and a delicate blush pink tank (#4) to create contrast.
It will be a combo no one will expect.
I feel like pink gets a bad rap that it’s either meant for a younger audience or for only “girly-girls” but there is a way to work in this color no matter your age or your style. I hope I’ve made you see how transitional this hue truly is.
Are you a lover of this hue or do you find it too girly? Let me know in the comment section below!
I love what you’ve put together

Thank you so much!
I’m not personally a fan of pink but a little shade or accent of this color in my style can surely create a little pop. Or maybe a shade close to it such as peach. Great post and suggestion though 🙂

I have also in recent years come to appreciate the color pink much more… Nowadays I have noticed, I would like to wear more pink, but my wardrobe is actually misding that color in particular.😅 But I am determined to improve on that. 😆 Love what you did with the combinations. Btw, pink and yellow make for a great combo too, just like the wild flowers. 🥰

So happy to hear that and happy you liked this post! How funny…I just posted a pink and yellow floral print dress the other day. I guess great minds think alike 🙂
I love the pink sandals and purse! So cute! I used to do everything in pink but have switched to a lot of black, grey, and neutrals. I would love to incorporate more pink in my accessories, so thanks for putting this together.

Thanks so much! I am the same way. I used to have lots of pink in my wardrobe and somewhere along the way, I went to essentially only neutrals. The last year I’ve been trying to add pink back in because I feel great when I wear it.
I don’t own a ton of pink, but I definitely have an obsession with mauve tones, so maybe that counts somewhere down the line. Some bright pink tailored trousers are definitely unexpected. These are great ideas!
