It’s time for another capsule wardrobe blog post—a summer 2023 capsule wardrobe to be exact! If you’ve seen my spring capsule wardrobe, you’ll notice several of the items are carried over. That’s because you don’t need an entirely new wardrobe for each season (who has the budget for that?!). Just a few additional pieces for the warmer weather or switching out light sweaters for more breezy tops and summer dresses.
I created my capsule wardrobes to be realistic and a mix of classic with a few seasonal trends.
This summer 2023 capsule wardrobe still includes cut out dresses (a big trend this season) and lots of denim. Don’t be afraid to rock denim on denim this summer—even in your accessories. Pair a denim midi skirt with a ribbed tank and a denim bag for the ultimate summer outfit.
You’ll also notice a lot of “coastal grandma chic” as it’s called this summer. Think lots of linen with stripe cardigans, loose gauzy tops, and straw hats. Essentially Diane Keaton’s Wardrobe in Something’s Gotta Give—great movie btw.
Also lots of Grecian inspired looks will be on trend this season. Luckily, this a look you can wear year after year so investing a great pair of grecian lace up sandals will never go out of style.
