An LBD is a classic item that every woman should have in her wardrobe. I will never forget the first time I watched Audrey Hepburn stand outside of Tiffany’s in her infamous LBD in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. So elegant. So classic. So stylish. I feel like an LBD isn’t something we often associate with Spring. We think of pastels and light flowy dresses, which are a Spring classic.
However, the best part about an LBD is that it’s timeless and can truly work all year round. I love this number from Banana Republic. I purchased it 4 years ago, and through all of my closet clean outs, I could never be without it. I’ve worn this LBD to interviews, presentations in school, at work, and dinners with friends. The keyhole back and tulip hem detail makes this dress really versatile.
If you’re wanting an LBD for Spring I would look for sleeveless options, lighter fabrics, and some fun details that take this look from being work only appropriate to out of the office attire as well. For a more casual look, I’ve worn this dress with sandals and a cropped jean jacket.
I had to complete this look with my two newest and most favorite accessories – these BaubleBar tassel earrings in lavender and my Loeffler Randall pom pom bag. I love that it incorporates two trends I am obsessed with, and I have probably worn it every day since I purchased it. I think that’s a good sign.
