I am finally writing this much-requested trend talk post about the basket bag trend. It seems as if these last two seasons have all been about innovation in bags. As a self-proclaimed handbag addict, I am excited that everyone is fully embracing different styles of bags because they are my favorite item to complete a look.
The basket bag trend is similar to the woven bag concept, which as you know has been my biggest obsession this season, but it’s a bit quirkier. The more it looks like an actual basket the better. However, don’t worry it is still a really wearable trend. Let me show you different ways that you could style this trendy bag.
A basket bag would be the perfect compliment to a quintessential Spring look – white denim, a floral blouse, and simple sandals. If you are looking to splurge these are my favorite leather sandals (dupe version here for under $80) year after year that will go with any look you throw together, and truly remain a wardrobe staple in my eyes.
I prefer to mix trends with more classic pieces so they balance each other out, and that is how I envision styling a basket bag. My favorite way to pair this trendy item is with some skinny dark wash denim, a linen blouse, and classic cat eye sunnies. Whatever way you choose to pair this look, rock it with confidence!
