I recently announced in an Instagram post (you can find me @brunettenomad) that I will officially be moving back home to Dallas for the next few years after living abroad on and off for the last 15 years. It feels like a big chapter is coming to end, and with any major change I have moments where I’m excited, nervous, sad, and every emotion in between.
Luckily, I have a million things on my to-do list before I head home next month to keep me busy. My posts may be a bit sporadic during this time or not the top quality I would prefer, but I hope you can bear with me during this extremely busy time. If you would like a blog post discussing my years abroad or if you have any specific questions that you would like answered let me know in the comments section below.
My Friday Favorites & Items I Am Loving Lately
Ideal of Sweden – It is no secret that I love Ideal of Sweden phone cases. I discovered the brand when they reached out to me last Spring and I am lucky to have worked with them ever since. The cases are high quality, affordable, and they come out with new ranges often. Use my code ID20-JN208 for 20% off your order.
Gal Meets Glam Collection – I have long loved the feminine and classic style of fashion blogger, Julia Engel. I purchased my first dress from her earlier this year at Nordstrom, but this March collection is my absolute favorite. When my no buy March ends I plan on picking up this coral a-line dress and this floral maxi.
Sunday Riley Facial Oils – In the last few months I’ve really gotten into facial oils, and Sunday Riley is well known for their oils. I’ve tried U.F.O., which is medicated dry oil to clear congested pores and treat and prevent future acne. As well as Juno, an anti-oxidant oil that helps restore your skin’s natural moisture barrier.
Blue Light Blocking Glasses – If you work on your computer or phone for long periods of time, which is most of us, then you can benefit from using blue light blocking glasses. The anti-glare glasses help reduce headaches and squinting when on your devices for long periods of time.
Crime Junkie Podcast – I have become obsessed with this podcast and consider myself a true crime junkie now. The podcast is hosted by two women who delve deep into less publicized cases of homicides, kidnappings, and disappearances. Many of these cases are still unsolved and I love that they bring attention to these forgotten cases.
Castañer Espadrilles – Now that Spring is here and I can’t stop thinking about my Spring wardrobe that I can actually wear when I’m back in Dallas. These wedges are my favorite because they are affordable but high quality, come in so many colors and are the perfect height.
The Bodyguard – I heard great reviews about this mini-series and it lives up to the hype. My boyfriend and I finished it in 2 days. It’s about a war veteran turned police sergeant who is assigned to protect the Home Secretary, a very controversial politician. He will eventually be torn between his beliefs and his duty to protect.
The Candle Bar – The Candle Bar pop up opened up in Dallas last month and will only be available for 6 months. You get to make your own scented candles, which any candle addict will love. When I get to Dallas you can bet you will see me there.
Carry-On Suitcase (currently on sale for $75) – I finally decided to opt for a hardshell carry-on suitcase after only owning soft/fabric suitcases. I am so happy I made the switch, and this one has already been on an international trip with me.

It is one of the best I have found. I love their input and they wrap up the facts so well. I hope you enjoy it xoxo
That is a big transition! I hope it goes smoothly. I love Julia Engel’s collection. It’s so fun and pretty! I need to look at blue light glasses. Since I started blogging, I notice a bit more headaches. When I am not staring at my computer it goes away.

Thanks for the comment! I spend a lot more time on my computer now that I blog so I do get headaches too. I’m trying to walk away more from the computer 🙂
Fun post! I also am obsessed with blue light glasses right now. I’ve heard of that podcast but haven’t listened! You should try True Crime Obsessed. It’s one of my favorites and is hysterical
