As much as I love fashion I also love skincare. I use fashion to express who I am, and I truly believe if you love your outfit then you can conquer the world. That is also true of skincare. As superficial as it sounds, when your skin is at it’s best you feel like the best version of yourself and don’t need to hide behind layers of makeup.

I first learned of BeautyBio through Instagram and immediately fell in love with the Co-founder and CEO, Jamie O’Banion (a fellow Dallas girl – you have to support local brands, right?).  Jamie is the best advertisement for the brand as she has beautiful skin and shows how you can incorporate her products into your everyday routine. I highly recommend checking out her Instagram stories if you want to know any behind the scenes action and about releases before they even launch.

Now that I’ve been using the brand for a year I wanted to share some of my favorites from BeautyBio that you can use to spruce up your skincare routine. Where are my fellow skincare addicts at?

THE BALANCE

After putting a lot of different products on my face, I tend to prefer a no-nonsense facial wash. Something non-irritating and as simple as you can get. I’ve gone through a few bottles of The Balance and have enjoyed how it works with the other products in my routine. The facial wash is meant to restore your skin’s ideal pH level (neutral) so your skin remains hydrated. It has a slight herbal scent, but I haven’t noticed any irritation in my skin.

THE DAILY

I’ve always heard about the benefits of adding a Vitamin C serum to your skincare routine and decided to try this one out after watching Jamie, the founder, speak about it on her Instagram Stories. This intensive serum helps to shield against damage from daily free radicals and creates a barrier to lock in key ingredients that your skin needs. It’s designed to even out the appearance of your skin tone and penetrates down to deep layers rather than sitting on your skin’s superficial layers. Yes, please!

ROSE QUARTZ ROLLER

I got into facial rollers about a year ago. I started buying jade rollers off Amazon but found that after a few months they would break time and time again. I finally decided to invest in a high-quality facial roller and there is a world’s of difference between the two, in my opinion. This facial roller is incredibly sturdy and made from jewelry grade rose quartz. Facial rollers help to contour the face, reduce puffiness, promote lymphatic drainage, and improve the texture and tone of your skin. Plus the stone always remains cool and feels great against the skin. Use this product with your facial oils so you aren’t tugging at the skin.

GLOPRO

This is the product that started it all and has won numerous beauty awards around the world. This small tool mimics microneedling performed at high-end medspas. The tiny needles trigger the skin’s natural healing process by creating new collagen and restoring the skin. The GloPro also helps your products to sink deep into your skin rather than sitting on the surface so they can truly work their magic. Don’t let the term microneedling scare you – I have a pretty low pain tolerance and I can use this tool a few times a week.

BRIGHT EYES COLLAGEN PATCHES

This is an honorable mention as I don’t buy these eye patches on a regular basis. I consider them treats and are great when you have events to go to or need to wake up early often. These eye patches help to reduce puffiness, tighten and firm, and the illuminating pearl leaves the eyes looking well-rested. Put them in the fridge for an added cooling effect.
