My preferred color palette tends to be more neutrals; especially when it comes to the colder months. Buying neutrals makes getting dressed much easier as your entire wardrobe will seamlessly pair together and you instantly look more put together.
If you’re unsure try a neutral look and you will be surprised how elevated you look.
You can’t go wrong with a classic crewneck sweater come Fall time. They can easily be worn with a great pair of dark denim for a casual daytime time look or a plaid midi skirt for a chic office outfit. One of my favorite ways to add in a bit of sex appeal when the temperatures drop is by pairing a blouse or sweater with a leather skirt. It works everytime!
Hair accessories are a trend that shows no signs of stopping and I am on-board. Since I have naturally curly hair I don’t tend to do much with it. I always felt like the more I messed with my hair the frizzier it got so I am happy that the hair accessory trend is here to stay.
Just throw on a headband and you instantly look on-trend. If you’re thinking that headbands have been around since last Fall so what’s different? You are correct! To update the trend for this Fall think velvet and padded headbands for some extra drama.
Other Fall Neutrals to Complete your Wardrobe:
- Cognac Loafers: These are my favorite loafers and are a great dupe for the Gucci pair at a fraction of the price.
- Beige Hobo Bag: I have this bag in black, and haven’t put it down. Hobo bags are back in fashion this Fall.
- Crewneck sweater: You can pair this classic black sweater with anything in your wardrobe from jeans to a suede skirt.
- Black Blouse: A simple black blouse is a must-have for any season. You can easily wear this mock neck blouse from day to night.

Love this post. Neutrals are capsules for a closet and can be styled in so many ways. I’m not one for beiges, but I love whites and creams. They make styling so easy.

I love wearing mostly neutrals with a few dark colors throw-in. Currently planning a new fall sweater shopping trip with my sister now that the weather has turned. Love your ideas, I really want to put together a capsule wardrobe for this winter.

Thank you so much! I highly recommend a capsule collection or at least shopping like one. It’s so much easier when everything can pair together xoxo
Neutrals are something you can never have too much of! Especially during the colder months when all you want to wear is a thick sweater and jeans. Such a helpful post! PS I need that hobo bag!
