I feel like Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that you either love or you hate. Me? I’m definitely more in the love category.
Not only does this holiday comprise of my favorite color combination ever (seriously red and pink pair together perfectly all year round), but I just love love. Sappy romantic over here!
While I don’t think you need a particular day on the calendar to tell those special people in your life that you care, I think it’s a nice reminder in our busy lives. Remember to take the time to tell your husband, your friends, your mom, siblings or anyone that you love them. Valentine’s Day isn’t just about loving others though.
I also think you can treat yourself on Valentine’s Day, which exactly what this gift guide is about!
One of my favorite items that I decided to splurge on last year was a Slip silk pillowcase. I promise I’m not crazy! Silk pillowcases have a lot of beauty benefits from reducing frizziness, fine lines, and ensuring that your expensive skincare products stay on your skin rather than getting soaked up by your pillowcase.
There is nothing like treating yourself to a luxury candle. It’s great for ambiance to relax at night but can also act as a decorative piece. What I love about Diptique candles is that once you’re done you can use it to hold cotton balls, q-tips, makeup brushes, and more so you get the most out of a pricy candle.
I also own this Kate Spade bangle in gold. It’s dainty enough to wear daily and looks much more expensive than it is. It gives me those Cartier love bracelet vibes for a fraction of the price. Kate Spade jewelry is always fun, feminine, and fairly affordable. If you’re interested in finding quality jewelry that isn’t too expensive I suggest giving Kate Spade a look.
I need to know…Are you a lover of Valentine’s Day? Do you plan on treating yourself this year even if you’re in a relationship? Let me know in the comment section below!
