Friday Favorites #16: Favorite Spring Trend, Home Decor Inspiration & More

PHOTO DETAILS: STAUD HANDBAG (ALSO LOVE THIS ONE)

Life has been chaotic recently to say the least. From the crazy winter storms we experienced in Texas to moving into a new place and finally having my husband join me after getting his green card. I feel like I haven’t stopped running in so long. So if I haven’t given my blog my utmost attention that’s why.

Unfortunately, social media and blogging have felt like chores recently with Instagram constantly changing the algorithm and so much competition out there you can start to wonder what is so special about me or should I keep putting in the effort?

I’ve decided I want to work on finding a balance between having fun and sharing what I love (which is the whole reason I started this journey) and keeping it as a side hustle. I’m not quite sure how to do that yet, but I do love sharing with you all…this leads me into today’s blog post!

This blog series has always been about sharing recent favorites in one place in case you don’t follow me on Instagram or read every blog post. In this edition of Friday Favorites, I’m sharing what book I’m currently reading, the latest Netflix shows I binged, what’s in my cart, and my favorite spring trend.

FRIDAY FAVORITES: WHAT HAVE I BEEN LOVING LATELY?

Currently Reading

I’m currently reading The Dilemma on Audible written by one of my favorite authors, B.A. Paris. I’m nearly done with the book and while it wasn’t my favorite book written by the author – I mean there have been some pretty sensational stories – I really enjoyed the twists and turns.

Without giving away too much it takes place within essentially one day, the mother’s 40th birthday party, and revolves the various dilemmas each member of the family is hiding from one another.

Netflix Shows to Binge

– Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer

– Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel

– Bonding

– Bridgerton

– Broadchurch

Home Finds

– I have a thing for nice coasters (yes, I’m a grandma). These porcelain coasters make a funky detail in any home.

– Coffee table books are a small way to add personality to your home and speak to your interests. This coffee table book is my favorite and the main focus of my coffee table.

– I just purchased my first sofa online and was nervous to say the least. I went with this white sofa from Article and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and experience.

What’s in My Cart

– This pink cotton dress will make the perfect spring and summer addition to any feminine wardrobe.

– I’ve worn my Golden Goose sneakers to death so I’m curious to test out these Veja sage sneakers.

– Smocked blouses and dresses are going to be everywhere this spring and I have my eye on this Staud smocked top.

Favorite Spring Trend

Anything pastel this spring is calling my name from sage green trench coats to butter yellow cardigans and baby blue handbags. My spring and summer style always tends to go ultra feminine so anything that resembles LoveShackFancy is my go-to. To be honest, the frillier and more girly the better this coming season.

I just finished reading Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris, which is one of my favorites! I need to check out The Dilemma. And I recently finished Night Stalker and Crime Scene. I love all things true crime, mystery, and suspense. 😊
