Friday Favorites #19: New Home Finds & Most Worn Items in My Summer Wardrobe

Dallas fashion blogger shares her Friday Favorites from new home finds to clean beauty products

OUTFIT DETAILS: FLORAL DRESS (SIMILAR) | METALLIC MULES (OLD, SIMILAR) | STRAW TOTE

Happy Friday Friends! This Monday was my 29th birthday so I wrote a blog post about 29 Things I’ve Learned in 29 Years. A birthday is always a great time to look back and see how much you’ve grown over the last year. As an enneagram 1 I’m a perfectionist who is a firm believer in improvement in all forms. I truly believe you never stop growing.

Now that summer is in full swing and the Texas heat is brutal I find myself reaching for flowy, easy cotton and linen dresses. That’s what I’ll be living in for the rest of the season. H&M is one of my favorite places to pick up affordable spring and summer dresses that are stylish yet you don’t have to worry if you stain them.

In this edition of my Friday Favorites blog post series, I’m sharing the latest book I’m reading, new affordable home finds, what I’ve been living in this season, and more. Keep reading to see what I’ve been loving lately…

FRIDAY FAVORITES #19: WHAT I’M LOVING LATELY

WHAT I’M READING

Invisible Girl by Lisa Jewell – I’ve read multiple books by Lisa Jewell and always enjoy them. If you’re a lover of mysteries and psychological thrillers then give Lisa Jewell books a read. Invisible Girl is the intertwining stories of neighbors who all had some connection to a teenage girl who ends up going missing.

TV SHOWS TO BINGE

– Churchill’s Secret Agents: The New Recruits (Netflix)

– The Mary Tyler Moore Show (Hulu)

– Absolutely Fabulous (Hulu)

NEW BEAUTY PRODUCT

Counter+ All Bright C Serum – Vitamin C is probably my favorite skincare ingredient ever because it leaves your skin brighter, healthier, and smoother. I’ve been on a hunt to find vitamin C serums that are less expensive than my favorite serum of all time – Obagi Professional-C Serum 20% – which is quite pricey at over $130 for 30ml.

I have an obsession with BeautyCounter products so knew I had to next try their highly raved about vitamin C serum. BeautyCounter uses all natural ingredients for products that really work.

MOST WORN IN MY SUMMER WARDROBE

Manu Atelier Sandals – I’ve realized recently that I live in leather slides all summer. They look great with dresses and jeans are incredibly easy to throw on no matter what you’re doing. So each year I like to splurge on a new pair and Manu Atelier checked all of the boxes. The simplistic design makes this shoe so chic and they are one of the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. Well worth it!

Loewe Square Raffia Tote – Another item I can’t live without come spring and summer are woven bags. Nothing screams warm weather fashion to me like a woven bag. After opting for more affordable options the last several years I felt like it was time to finally invest because it’s clear I get my money’s worth with this style. I have worn this bag nonstop in the last 1.5 months and don’t see that changing.

If you want to know my thoughts on the Loewe Square Raffia tote check out my recent blog post.

NEW HOME FINDS

If you’re looking for affordable home finds then H&M has a great selection of decorations that are always on trend. I picked up this pack of gold teaspoons for only $10 because can you ever have enough right? As well as this glass carafe that is perfect for making iced tea. I have an obsession with iced mint tea right now and plan on making that.

These are just some of the items I have been loving lately. Feel free to share some of your Friday Favorites in the comment section below!

Great info on beauty here but what I like most is that of Vitamin C serum as I am applying on my skin myself. Try Kiehl’s, pricey too but most effective. I am a senior that’s why I need one that will really work.
