Friday Favorites #20: Fall Trends, Skincare Must-Have & More

So it’s September – when did that happen?! In this transitional period between summer and fall, I find my favorites are a combination of summer staples and upcoming fall trends. In today’s 20th edition of my Friday Favorites series, I am sharing a new podcast I can’t stop listening to, a fall obsession, a skincare must-have, and much more.

I have to say I’m not quite ready for crisp fall days and layering pieces and luckily Texas shows no signs of colder weather coming soon. I’m just a summer girl at heart. Give me a flowy midi dress, a great pair of sunglasses, and leather slides anytime. That has essentially been my summer uniform.

I’ve been living in this midi gingham dress from Amazon that is only $25 and surprisingly great quality. The sage and apricot versions would also transition well into fall with a pair of booties or white sneakers.

HANDBAG I CAN’T STOP WEARING

I have worn this Bottega Veneta Jodie dupe almost everyday since it came in the mail. That says a lot because I have so many beautiful bags in my wardrobe to choose from. The shape is incredibly on-trend and surprisingly wearable for daily use. Who would have thought? Also, this bag will still be a big trend for the upcoming fall and winter season.

SKINCARE FAVORITE

I’ve talked about the Obagi Medical Professional-C Serum multiple times on the blog because vitamin C is one of my favorite skincare products that every woman needs in her routine. This serum is continually voted one of the best vitamin c serums on the market but can be quite pricey. I went on a quest to find a product equally amazing and more affordable, but to be honest I didn’t see the same results.

Within 2 weeks of using the Obagi serum, I can see a noticeable difference in the brightness and overall texture of my skin. It’s crazy! I don’t like the price but was able to find it cheaper on Amazon if you click the coupon checkmark.

FAVORITE FALL TREND

Flat Riding Boots – To me, this is the ultimate day-to-night boot that will go with almost every look you want to wear this fall. The ideal boot is flat with no embellishments and looks like you just got off your horse. Wear these boots with leggings and chunky knit or a midi dress for a touch of femininity.
