Every year Pantone releases their color of the year, which is just a way to signify what will be the trend color for 2022 in terms of fashion, beauty, and home decor. The 2022 Pantone color of the year was just announced. It’s very peri—described as a dynamic periwinkle blue hue.
Just as with any trend you never need to go in headfirst and become a walking billboard for trends. Trends are a way to let you know what’s the new “thing” and for you to find ways to incorporate it into your style. And that is what I love about style! It’s so unique and individual.
If you are a lover of pastels and feminine colors then you will be very happy with this new Pantone shade. However, I see can everyone, no matter their sense of style, incorporate very peri into their life.
One of the easiest ways to style trend colors is through beauty. Find a periwinkle nail polish or eyeshadow (cream eyeshadows are my preferred because I feel you have more control over the intensity of the shade). You can also try adding very peri into your accessories. A periwinkle scarf could be the perfect pop of color for a neutral look or a pair of very peri leather slides can easily transition you into spring and summer.
If you’re wanting to go bigger than an entire tonal look could be very chic. But try to pair variations of the color to avoid looking like a giant periwinkle explosion. Colorful coats are still very in style so find a pastel coat for a soft winter look.
