I truly believe our style evolves and as you get older you begin to understand what works with your lifestyle and what looks best on you from silhouettes to colors. Over the last few years, I keep finding myself gravitating towards one style of coat and that’s because it’s truly one of the most flattering coats for any body shape.

Meet the wrap coat.

Whether it’s wool for fall and winter or linen for spring I can’t seem to stop buying them. A wrap coat ties in at your waist to flatter your gorgeous and feminine silhouette. A wrap coat is one of the easiest ways to add shape back to the often boxy or chunky clothes for fall and winter.

Whether your tall, petite, pear-shaped, or hourglass you have to give this coat a try.

If you’re a lover of neutrals this deep brown wrap coat will be the perfect addition to your fall and winter wardrobe. The good news is that it also seems to be very on-trend this season and I’ve found styles at all price points. Everything from the gorgeous but oh so expensive coats at Max Mara to Zara.

My wool coat is from Rent the Runway, but if you’re not interested in renting or starting a membership this wool wrap coat from H&M is very similar, which I also purchased.

It’s the perfect coat to dress up with a pair of jeans and sneakers (Veja and Golden Goose are my favorites) or add texture to a pleated skirt and cashmere sweater for a comfortable but stylish holiday outfit.
