Happy Friday Friends! I cannot tell you how happy I am that this week is coming to a close and I have a new week to look forward to soon (not that we have a designated weekend in this industry). In this post, I wanted to share a few of my favorites that I have been loving and my thoughts from the current week.

This week I have been feeling really de-motivated and filled with self-doubt. I am not sure if it’s due to the weather (Switzerland has been pretty cold and dreary lately) or if it is this time of year. You know that awkward middle of the season time where you want to say bye bye to Winter and hello to Spring. Spring, I’m impatiently waiting for you.

I recently read a blog post that really resonated with me. These two bloggers were celebrating their 1-year “blog-iversary” and discussing what a cool but emotional ride this whole blogging experience has been for them. It was like they formed words directly from my thoughts that I had no idea how to express prior.

Some moments I feel like I have everything together, and I am so proud of myself for taking this initiative. Then 5 hours later I feel like I have no idea what I am doing and wondering if I made a mistake by leaving my safe little bubble of the corporate world so soon.

At the end of the day (no matter the hours I put in or the minuscule victories that I have), I am so happy to be finally pursuing something I have wanted to do for so long. Sometimes you will never know if you’ll succeed unless you give it a try, right? I think this weekend will be spent focusing on “me time” with a little bit of work – sorry, #workaholic over here!

How will you be spending your weekend? Curled up on the couch or up to something fun? Let me know in the comment section below!

MY FRIDAY FAVORITES & LATEST OBSESSIONS:

ONE// CIRCLE BAGS

The circle bag trend really appeared last season with the Chloe Pixie bag, which I loved. However, when I am spending $1,000+ on a bag I am looking for longevity and I feel that circle bags more as fun trend pieces to compliment your look (I hope that I don’t eat these words). It is such a unique shape and adds that touch of whimsy.

You can find circle bags in every texture from smooth leather (like this one seen all over the Mansur runway), beachy straw and woven, and faux crocodile (like this more affordable Brahmin one). One of these beauties will definitely be popping up in my Spring wardrobe…now which one to choose?

TWO// FRESH FLOWERS

I all am about buying fresh flowers in the Spring and Summer. I love to fill my home with fresh bouquets on a regular basis. There is something so peaceful and relaxing about bringing the outdoors in. There are even studies that show fresh flowers put you in a more positive psychological state of mind. Check out a previous blog post where I shared my 5 favorite ways to de-stress.

I’m not looking to break the bank when buying flowers so I opt for non-temperamental varieties – easy to take care of and last longer. Tulips are in season this time of year and are relatively cheaper compared to other bouquets. I buy a 10 stem bouquet of tulips and split them between two vases (2 for 1!), and tulips really look best with fewer stems in a vase anyway.

THREE// PETER THOMAS ROTH MASKS

I am a mask junkie and love to constantly try out new products. After 2 years of testing out different Peter Thomas Roth masks, I think I have solidified that they are my favorite face mask brand. I find myself gravitating towards this brand and have tried out much of their line. You can find this brand at Nordstrom, Sephora, Ulta and more. My current favorite is the Pumpkin Enzyme mask, which honestly smells just like pumpkin pie.

FOUR// STATEMENT EARRINGS

Since this summer I have really been embracing the world of statement earrings, and just how they can complete a look. This upcoming season will be no different. I am loving blue/turquoise tones and of course pink. I am imaging wearing these bold earrings with basic tees and jeans and an all-white look.

My favorite brand for affordable and on-trend statement earrings is Baublebar (most pairs are under $50). If you are looking to spend a bit more, I am obsessed with these geometric tribal-inspired earrings from Annie Costello Brown. How beautiful, right?!

FIVE// WHITE BLOUSES

Long gone are the rules of no white after labor day. White can be worn year round. I mean have you ever heard of winter whites? There is still something so fresh and timeless about white in the Spring and Summer. It’s the perfect neutral – never goes out of style, will work with any outfit, and looks great on all skin tones.

I am excited to rock a crisp white blouse with jeans and a woven bag for the ultimate warm-weather look. Look for ruffles and eyelet to be really on trend this season.

You have now made me want to buy a circle bag. When I was younger my mom had a Chanel circle bag and I would sneak into her closet to play with it because I was so obsessed! That and her array of Chanel watches!
