The Best Self-Tanner for Natural Looking Bronzed Skin

I love a good tan for the Summer. Your clothes look better against bronzed skin, your legs look more toned, and overall you just feel more confident. Please tell me I’m not the only one who feels this way.

I used to be a regular spray tanner, and it was just a given that your sheets would look orange the next day as you waited for the initial layer of color to develop and there was always color transfer on lighter clothes. It was something you accepted for bronzed-looking skin without the harsh UV rays.

As I have gotten older and curated a more quality wardrobe I wouldn’t want to potentially ruin anything because of my desire to look bronzed. When I heard about the new transfer proof St. Tropez Purity self-tanning line I knew I had to test this out. The bronzing water body mousse is meant to be applied in the morning and develop gradually throughout the day. That means you can tan in the morning, put on your clothes within 5 minutes, and by the end of the day, you will have beautifully bronzed skin.

I was a bit worried at first because the body mousse is guardless meaning there is no initial layer of color so you can see where you applied the product. When I say I am a newbie at this that would be an understatement. The first and last time I tried an at home self-tanner I was thirteen and it went so horribly wrong that I swore off self-tanning products for well over a decade.

However, much to my surprise, the next morning there were no patches or streaks and the color looked incredibly natural. 

I don’t think anyone wants to look like an Oompa Loompa, right? I can’t believe it took this long for a brand to create a transfer-proof self-tanner product and that for so long we accepted our beautiful light clothes and sheets to be discolored. It’s crazy! The St. Tropez Purity line is a buildable tan so it is something you can apply every morning or every other morning if you like.

If you prefer an instant color or a dark tan then this isn’t the product for you. I would suggest trying the St. Tropez Express Bronzing Mousse (self-explanatory) or the Extra Dark Bronzing Mousse. If you love to wear light colors in the Summer and love a gradual natural tan then this will absolutely suit you.
