Instagram Round Up #2: What I Wore in Italy

Fashion Blogger shares what she wore on a trip to Italy: outfit ideas, sizing, and tips included

I am finally back from my trip to Northern and Central Italy. Unfortunately, I have come back sick but work must go on, right?

If you want to learn a little bit more about me and why I went on this trip then check out my previous blog post where I also provide some great tips on what to wear to Italy from an Italian.

In this Instagram round up I wanted to break down what I wore on my trip to Italy, sizing information, and where you can buy these items should you want to recreate these looks for yourself on any upcoming trips that you may have. Let me know if you are planning on going anywhere special this Summer in the comment section below!

My philosophy on dressing remains the same throughout the seasons and no matter where I travel.

I believe in quality over quantity, however, that doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot of money to have a fashionable look. I believe in versatility because when I buy something I want to wear it over and over again. I believe in putting thought into the items I purchase so I can get dressed quickly and know that I will love my look.

All of these looks came from my Instagram account. If you don’t already follow me there then should because it is the platform that I remain the most active on, show behind the scenes of my daily life, and is the first social media platform I use to promote a new blog post so never worry about missing a read. Definitely give me a follow there and you won’t be sorry!

NOW ONTO THE OUTFITS I WORE IN ITALY

Dress//ASOS (Size EU36 worn here, Fits TTS)  Handbag//ZARA

Shoes//ZARA (not available anymore, size EU 37 worn here, Fits TTS)  Sunglasses//NA-KD

This was for my first day at the beach. I loved this simplistic, casual, and comfortable look. I am obsessed with this ASOS off the shoulder dresses for Summer. They are so easy to dress up and down and are the perfect item to just throw on and you have an instant look. I used this little ZARA handbag as my beach bag the whole trip and it was the perfect compliment and fit all of my basics.

Dress//Lovely Pepa Collection (size XS worn here, fits TTS)  Shoes//See by Chloe (size EU37, Fits TTS)

Handbag//Gucci (mini size, dupe version here)  Watch//Skagen

This outfit was to head to a dinner in Gradara, Italy, a medieval town in the hills. I have been coming to this town since I was a kid and have such fond memories here. It always seemed so magical and made me want to pretend to be a medieval princess. I went for my favorite style of dress from the blogger owned Lovely Pepa Collection. I love it so much that I have this same dress in two colors, and wish they would come out with more. Check out this blog post here where I talk about the white version of this ruffled number and why I find it so flattering.

Dress//CC by Camilla Cappelli (size S worn here, could have gone a size down)   Handbag//Prada via Net-a-Porter

Shoes//Hermes (size 37 worn, dupe version here)  Sunglasses//NA-KD

This photo was taken in my favorite area of the city. I love the cobblestone streets, historical buildings, and new finds around different nooks and crannies. We actually discovered a new area behind an old theater that we had never seen before (wait for a future blog post to see), and my dad is actually from there. I love discovering a city like that even if you have been there numerous times before. I was so excited to finally debut this stunning off the shoulder dress from LuisaViaRoma, and can’t wait to find more opportunities to wear it this Summer. It is a showstopper in person!

Tank//Forever 21 (old, size S worn, not skintight fit which I prefer)  Skirt//ZARA (size S, Fits TTS)

Shoes//Sam Edelman (size 6.5 US worn, fits TTS)  Handbag//ZARA  Sunglasses//Fendi

This was another beach day. When you’re in a beach town you spend as much at the beach as you can, right? I love looks like this for the beach because I can easily throw on my bathing suit underneath, but when we head to the beach bar around 6:00 pm to grab drinks and snacks with my family I still look put together.

This is a close up of the first outfit I showed in this blog post. I plan on living in this type of outfit for the rest of Summer. It’s just so easy and comfortable. I love that that these red sandals are a fun pop of color and a more fashionable option for a typical beach/pool sandal. They were only 10 CHF ($10) on sale so you don’t have to worry about them getting wet.

Feel free to recreate this look if you’d like and tag me on Instagram.  I love all of the great photo opportunities in hotels that you can’t quite get a home so I had to play around and have a bit of fun. This look gave me those Audrey Hepburn vibes so you knew I had to do it. Plus the bath tub in our hotel room in Milan was #goals.

Top//Massimo Dutti (not sure on the size, thanks to my mom for letting me borrow it)  Skirt//ZARA (size S)

Shoes//Marc Fisher (size 6.5 US, fits TTS)  Handbag//Prada via Net-a-Porter

I wore this outfit on a day out in Milan to grab some lunch, walk around, and check out a few shops. Unfortunately, my mom wasn’t feeling too well (I think she got me sick, thanks mom) so we took it pretty casual and mostly stayed around the center. We did discover a spot for lunch that is a flower shop and restaurant called Potafiori. It’s a good spot if you want to be away from the craziness of the Duomo, and have a leisurely lunch. They offer fresh pasta and a veggie/salad bar amongst the plants.
