What I Bought From the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Dallas fashion blogger shares what she bought from the infamous Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

The much talked about Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is coming to a close soon. Prices will go up starting August 6th so if you haven’t had the opportunity to shop the sale yet, I recommend giving it a look. Since early access on the Nordstrom sale started I have been creating content to help you shop the sale better, and make it easier to browse through the thousands of discounted items.

If you love sale shopping as much as I do then check out all of my posts dedicated to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale from tips on how to shop the sale, Fall must-haves, and now the goodies I have actually purchased.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to share my first impressions or information on sizing as I am still in Europe and won’t be heading back home to Dallas until mid-August.

However, Nordstrom has the best return policy out of any retailer which is why I personally continue to shop there and if you don’t live close to a Nordstrom then returning by mail couldn’t be easier. That means you can buy as much as you want and worry about returns later.

WHAT I BOUGHT FROM THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE:

1. Down Jacket – I live in down jackets in the winter as Switzerland’s winters can be quite cold. I am not a girl who deals with the cold well so any extra warmth is necessary. I thought this fun berry color would be a nice break from the traditional dark and neutral winter colors we tend to gravitate towards.

2. Trench Coat – A classic trench is a must-have in any woman’s wardrobe. It’s the perfect transitional coat between seasons and instantly makes you look put together. Even if you are just wearing simple jeans and a t-shirt. I love this olive color, which is really flattering for my coloring and is something a bit different to most trench coats.

3. Raw Hem Jeans – In the last few years I have become a jeans fanatic and wear them almost daily. With that being said I am probably the pickiest person when it comes to choosing the correct jeans that you will ever meet. I generally have to purchase 20 pairs to find 1 or 2 that work. I think raw hem look is so casual and cool for any season.

4. Dark Wash Jeans – My go-to is a pair of dark wash skinny jeans because I find them so flattering for my petite frame. I think skinny jeans will never go out of style and is the perfect compliment when wearing a looser top. It balances everything out and I find dark wash is much more slimming than a lighter wash.

5. Pave Studs – I do love to experiment with a good statement earring (especially if it’s from BaubleBar), but at the end of the day I really am a stud girl. I love how they add a touch of bling but are never in your way. I tend to wear the same jewelry combination over and over and a stud earring is perfect for my lifestyle.

6. Micro-Needling Tool – I know this may sound a bit scary and medieval, but micro-needling is the latest craze to hit the beauty world. It is a non-invasive and painless treatment that you can do at home to help your skin’s texture, improve smoothness, and create a more youthful appearance. Sign me up!

7. Essential Oil Diffuser – I have become addicted to my diffuser in Switzerland and knew I needed to have one at my place in Dallas too. For a long time I thought diffusers were silly and another thing to waste your money on, but now I am hooked. As I am preparing for bed every night I diffuse lavender essential oil to create a calming environment and help me drift off to sleep a bit easier.

8. J.Crew Dress – This item wasn’t actually a part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but it was on clearance so I thought I would include it for anyone who loves J.Crew. Over Labor Day Weekend I am a bridesmaid in one of my best friend’s weddings and I needed a dress to wear to the rehearsal dinner. The attire for the event is sundress appropriate so I thought this would be the perfect dress to either wear with heels or some showstopping sandals.

Love this post! Emmy favourite items from your Anniversale sale list are the Pave studs, trench coat and Oil Diffuser! I use lavender oil before going to sleep as well, as it releases a calm and soothing aroma! 😍

I’m so happy I’m not the only one who is loving diffusers. I haven’t tested out other essential oils because lavender is just the best xoxo

I love those raw hem jeans the best. Although…what’s this microneedling… I might be late in the game in this

Microneedling has typically been a treatment that you get from dermatologists, but now these tools allow you to do that at home. It basically brings the blood to the surface so you have more youthful and plump skin. It sounds scary but I’m excited to test it out xoxo

My wife has been obsessed with this sale, but unfortunately we don’t have the money since we are moving to Japan at the end of August 🙁
