Happy October 1st Friends! In the last few days, it has definitely cooled down in Switzerland and is officially looking like Fall. However, all of my friends back home in Texas or those who live in climates where it takes longer for the temperatures to drop are probably finding this transitional dressing time quite confusing. What do you wear now?
It’s not quite time for heavier Fall clothes but it’s too cold for Summer pieces.
I am all about maximizing my wardrobe, which means getting the most wear out the items I buy and buying pieces that can transition between seasons. This Summer I lived in this distressed jean skirt (similar styles here and here). It’s a great casual piece and will truly go with everything so why not try to find ways to wear your jean skirt for Fall.
The most important element is to obviously add a touch of warmth since it is no longer Summer weather. I paired my jean skirt with this thin cashmere sweater. It’s only $120 which is a great price for a cashmere sweater as they can easily go upwards of $200.
Classic Fall accessories can quickly take your look from Summer to Fall.
This cognac brown is one of my favorite neutrals for Fall as it adds warmth when we can tend to opt for black. These See by Chloe suede espadrilles were a great transitional shoe for Spring and I am continuing to wear them as we transition into Fall.
If you’re wanting a new Fall bag then look no further because this Kurt Geiger circle bag is the one for you, and it’s under $200! The circle bag trend I spoke about in the early Spring is continuing well into this new season (also loving this affordable option from Topshop). I love the sleekness of this leather bag, the touch of color by the handles, and it comes with a removable strap so it can be worn on the shoulder or crossbody.
