I’ve loved styling fall florals since 2018 and haven’t looked back. If you remember the infamous quote from The Devil Wears Prada “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking” you’ll know that florals are synonymous with spring. Well, I think fall florals are now considered a classic in the colder months and a print you have to play around with if you haven’t already.
The easiest way to transition your wardrobe into fall is to actually pair your floral dresses with fall accessories – booties, suede jackets, wool wide-brim hats, or leather jackets (if it’s cold enough where you live). If you really want to give your florals a fall vibe then look for florals with a dark background or in textured fabrics.
If you think fall florals sound like an odd concept you can start small by adding floral accessories. Pair this western-style suede belt with a flowy midi dress and black suede booties. That western or folklore vibe is back in this season. You can also pair a velvet floral headband with a neutral-toned sweater and jeans for an elevated casual outfit.
If you are a lover of fall florals – like myself – style a dark floral midi dress with these Marc Fisher booties you can see in my latest blog post. Add a dumpling clutch (my favorite Bottega dupe for $35) and a leather jacket over your shoulders. When the temperatures drop but it’s still not cold enough to wear a jacket I love throwing it over my shoulders for a chic look.

Thank you Tracy! I agree with you. I love styling florals all year long 🙂
I like that black bag in the top row because of the unusual shape. But, nice picks over all!
