After more austere and minimalistic fashions that we’ve seen this fall and winter, this next season is all about the soft touches and feminine hues. If you’re a lover of pastels, lace, bows, hearts, and anything embellished then you will love all of this season’s romantic styles including the sweetest spring cardigans.

If there is one trend to jump on this spring it would be cardigans!

To be honest, the more feminine and frilly the cardigan the better it is this season, especially with a continued revival for 80’s and 90’s fashions. I’m not one to follow trends just because. They actually have to work for my wardrobe and be something I would continue to wear long after the “trend” is out of style.

I look for longevity in trends as cost per wear is my style motto.

I would never feel comfortable recommending a trend to my audience that I wouldn’t spend my own money on. Even those spring cardigans are considered a “trend” at the moment you can still wear them season after season and they are an incredibly easy item to incorporate into your current wardrobe.

Pair a pastel cardigan with a simple white t-shirt and straight leg jeans for a look that still wearable but trendy. This is my going to be my go-to look come spring.
