In setting up my new place with my husband I have fallen in love with home decor and creating an inviting space. I’m having fun with how you can transform a space that speaks to your personality. It will be a long process to get my place just right, but I do hope to show you all the completed space in a future blog post.
With my obsessive personality I may or may not be virtually window shopping everyday discovering new decor finds and brands I didn’t know existed. When it comes to fashion and skincare I feel confident and knowledgeable but when it comes to home decor I’m just learning.
I thought it could be fun to learn together and share some home decor pieces if you’re looking to add something new to your space or if we share a similar taste. My home decor style is what you call chinoiserie – blue and white china, cherry blossom and dragon motifs with luxe textures and a hint of English country home. I think it comes from my time spent in the UK.
I’m having a moment with sage green (also in fashion too) and soft blush pink for a feminine but calming space. I wish I could go full chinoiserie but I have to ease my husband into it since we have such different decor styles.
