It’s that time of year again! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is almost here – the infamous annual sale where you can find new arrivals for fall for less. The reason this sale is so popular is that most sales discount at the end of the season while the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale discounts before the season begins so you can get a jumpstart on your fall wardrobe.
With the explosion of every blogger promoting the sale for the entire month it’s going on has given the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a bad name. I’ve long shopped the sale – even before I started my blog – and will continue to do so.
I often find great items for fall that I live in for the upcoming season and if I can luxe favorites at a discount then you better believe I’ll be shopping it! This is the only post I have planned to advertise the sale as I’m sure you can find thousands of shopping guides from other bloggers that cover the sale more thoroughly.
However, I wanted to share the 5 items I continually purchase in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale every year that make the foundation for my fall wardrobe.

5 Items I Buy Every Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
#1 BLAZERS
There is nothing as chic as a well-tailored blazer – hands down. What I love about blazers is that they are timeless and can make a simple outfit look out together. Simply pairing a blazer with jeans and t-shirt will make any woman look stylish. I plaid blazer come fall and winter is a must for me and never goes out of style. My favorite brands for blazers are from J.Crew, Club Monaco and Rag & Bone (like this blazer I picked up in the previous #NSale).
#2 QUALITY T-SHIRTS
I have an obsession with fabric content…it’s my thing! I use the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to purchase 100% cotton high quality t-shirts, usually from the brand Vince. They make the softest t-shirts imaginable and hold up well to washing. I wouldn’t normally pay full price for these t-shirts so any chance I can pick them up for sale the better.
My fall and winter uniform usually consists of jeans, booties, t-shirt and blazer.
#3 CASHMERE SWEATERS
I live in cashmere sweaters when the weather cools down! Not only does cashmere keep you incredibly warm but it’s incredibly soft. I have chaser sweaters that have lasted years so it just goes to show that sometimes you do have to pay for quality. Since cashmere sweaters can be quite pricey I always look from them in sales.
They are the perfect items to easily take you from day-to-night. Vince and Nordstrom Signature (I purchased this cashmere sweater above in the #NSale) make my favorite cashmere sweaters.
#4 DESIGNER JEANS
I know not everyone agrees with me on this, but I believe investing in basics and the items I know I’ll wear endlessly. Why would I want to spend a lot of specialty items I never wear?! One area I love to splurge on is my jeans. They never go out of style, are reasonless, and can dressed up or down. I love to find my favorite brand of jeans ever – Mother Denim – for less during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Once you buy high quality jeans you just can’t go back.
#5 EVERYDAY BOOTS
I live in Aquatalia boots during the fall and winter. Not only are they incredibly comfortable but they are weatherproof. Yes, you read that right? I’ve worn these boots in the rain and snow and they have still held up. Just because the weather is bad doesn’t mean you still can’t look fashionable. I style these booties during the day and night and will continue to purchase them in every color. The best part is that Aquatalia boots are always a part of the sale!
