Dallas fashion blogger shares comfortable house dresses to wear instead of sweats

With everything that has happened in the last 1.5 years we have all spent much more time at home and seen a surge in loungewear. However if loungewear isn’t your thing or you’re tired of spending your time in sweats – meet the house dress! I know what you’re thinking but this isn’t your grandma’s shapeless or old lounge dress. House dresses are now not only about comfort but also style.

You can now even wear your house dresses outside if you like!

Hill House Home made these popular again in the last year and I didn’t even realize I was following suit. When I want to be comfortable and not feel like a slob a house dress is my go-to. Since I live in the middle of the city I’m surrounded by people on a regular basis. If I want to sit on my balcony or need to meet a delivery person I don’t feel embarrassed by the state of me.

I look for flowy dresses typically made from 100% cotton and don’t require me to wear a bra – I mean it is all about comfort right?! I purchased my house dress from H&M and wear it multiple times a week.

I love it so much I even bought it in another color. Unfortunately, my dress is currently out of stock but if you sign up for alerts via H&M.com you can be notified when it comes back in stock.

I realized I tend to feel better about myself when I’m more presentable but I also need to be comfortable at home. That means no makeup, jeans, and preferable no bra at home. A house dress is that perfect alternative and you can even run errands in it if you’d like.
