Small Changes that Make Your Life Feel Luxe

I’ve always believed in the philosophy of treating yourself…ok maybe a little too much. But that’s just because I’m a big proponent of adding luxe to your everyday life to combat the sometimes dreariness of routine, daily life. We get busy and overwhelmed and can forget to treat ourselves. Treating yourself doesn’t have to signify going on an expensive designer shopping spree, a luxury, or a vacation — unless you want to.

I classify luxe or treating yourself as something that makes you feel special, a non-necessity that makes your life easier, or allows you to relax. You can add a little luxe to your life without having to go over budget whether that’s drinking out of beautiful glassware or creating a spa-like experience for yourself once a month. When people say life isn’t a movie, I say prove it to me.

Keep reading for the small ways I like to treat myself and a few may surprise you.

SMALL CHANGES THAT MAKE YOUR LIFE FEEL LUXE

Silk pillowcases. I normally buy silk pillowcases from Slip, but recently found a comparable silk pillowcase on Amazon.

Aromatherapy shower steamers. An easy way to create a spa-like shower experience, and the eucalyptus is the best.

Beautiful stemware. Nothing says luxe like champagne out of a coupe glass. I found this glass set on Amazon for $35.

Regular fresh flowers. My favorite flowers are from Trader Joe’s.

Luxury candles. My favorite is Voluspa candles because they come in beautiful containers, and are affordable for the luxury candles world.

Hotel-like bedding. I recently invested in these luxe cotton sheets from Brooklinen and I’m in love.

Dyson vacuum. The vacuum is so easy to use that I reach for it daily, and can’t live without it.

An organized closet that allows for a display of your favorite things. My handbags are always front and center.

Valet trash service. If you live in a building with a trash valet option, use it!

Quality leather handbag. It doesn’t have to be designer, just great craftsmanship. It will make any outfit look more expensive.

Clean car, inside and out.

Matching pajama sets. These are my favorite from Nordstrom.

Grocery delivery services. Great for busy work weeks when you don’t have time to go to the store.

A great bottle of wine or bubbly. I made a list of my favorite wines this summer.

Thick, fluffy, 3-ply toilet paper. The fluffier, the better.

Vivrielle handbag membership. It’s a fun way to test out designer bags without having to drop $$$ to afford the habit.

Luxury hand cream. Necessaire makes my favorite.

Decluttered kitchen & bathroom counters. I only put daily items on the counters because a cluttered home is a cluttered mind.
