I’m only slightly skincare obsessed (since you can’t see me through the screen, I have a smirk on my face). I’ve always prioritized a great skincare routine over makeup — even as a teenager — because if you don’t feel great about your skin, then there is only so much makeup can do.
Each year, I try to do a round-up of my current skincare routine, with many of the same favorites that have persisted for years or even decades.
Last January, I finally decided to try the hyped UK-based skincare brand, BeautyPie, and it did not disappoint. Many of the products are clean skincare, formulated in the same labs as luxury skincare brands, but for a fraction of the price.
The deal is that you pay a membership fee (it’s only $59 annually) and you get insane prices because they cut out the middleman.
For example, my favorite hydrating and lifting serum goes from $70 to $19 when you sign up for the membership, and it is comparable to the Dr Barbara Sturm Lifting Serum ($320).

Just a little context about my skin before we get into my favorites since what works for me may not work for you: early 30s, very dry, somewhat break-out prone due to hormonal imbalances (which has seriously been at bay with this routine).
My 2024 Skincare Routine
DAY
BHA Cleanser — This BHA cleanser has really helped keep my hormonal acne at bay and it’s so non-invasive that it can be used daily.
Micellar Water — I can’t live without micellar water as one of the first steps in my skincare routine. It wipes away any additional dirt or impurities before beginning my routine.
Soothing Toner — This pH-neutral, alcohol-free toner hydrates and refreshes my skin to keep it at its optimal pH level.
Vitamin C Eye Cream — I’ve used this eye cream for the last decade and loooove it. If you’re looking for an all-around great hydrating eye cream that reduces dark circles this is it.
Vitamin C Serum — I’ve used really expensive vitamin C serums and this one is comparable to the infamous SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic.
Hydrating Facial Mist — This hydrating mist has been one of the biggest game changers to my routine. I use it between each layer rather than simply topping off my skin with it and have noticed a big difference in how hydrated my skin looks and feels.
Lifting Serum — My new holy grail product that I now have numerous backups of so please don’t sell it out (haha). This magical treatment makes my complexion look more plump, dewy, hydrated, and even.
Ultra Hydrating Moisturizer — I’ve tried so many moisturizers over the years and have had a hard time finding one to keep my skin hydrated without being heavy. This one is lightweight but offers crazy hydrating benefits like Flower Stem Cells.
100% Squalane Oil — Squalane is my favorite facial oil as Squalene is a lipid we naturally produce, but declines with age. This oil is the perfect skincare topper that creates a barrier to keep all of the good products in the skin.
NIGHT
Micellar Water — This is always one of the first steps in my skincare routine and is comparable to the infamous Bioderma micellar water.
Glycolic Acid Toner — In the morning I like to use a hydrating toner, but in the evening I prefer an exfoliating toner. Glycolic acid is a great AHA that smooths skin texture, evens tone and boosts luminosity.
Vitamin C Eye Cream — I’m big on lightly tapping my eye cream as the skin under the eyes is really thin. No rubbing.
1% Retinol Treatment — I’ve tried so many retinol treatments and always come back to this one because I notice the biggest difference when using this everyday. If you’re new to retinol consider the sandwich method or only using it a few nights a week.
Hydrating Facial Mist — This facial mist has the finest mist I’ve found and yet it is so hydrating. It’s great to set your makeup to bring back that dewy look and top your face off throughout the day.
Lifting Serum — I hope I never have to live without this product because I notice a glow and increased hydration when using this product everyday, especially twice a day. With several anti-oxidants in this elixir, it is powerful.
Hydrating & Glowy Night Mask — Since I have dry skin I can handle a thick night cream, but have noticed the most results with using this night mask. With squalane, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid it gives my skin everything it craves.
SKINCARE EXTRAS
Complexion Overhaul Multi-Action Ampoules — I used this once a week as a retinol overhaul as it contains a high-strength, super-active mix of Retinoid and Vitamin C, and peptides. Smells like Berocca but does the trick.
Pimple Patch — I can’t live without these during that time of the month. If you are more prone to whiteheads you need this in your routine as they will suck up all the gunk and reduce the healing time of a blemish.
AHA/BHA Treatment — I use this about twice a month (not on the same weeks I use the complexion overhaul above) as a 10-minute exfoliating treatment. I am not a fan of physical exfoliants as they can create microtears in the skin and cause more damage than good. A chemical exfoliant is really best.
Rich Body Cream — I recently discovered this body cream and it smells amazing. It is incredibly hydrating with vitamin and shea butter but also soaks into my skin quickly so I don’t feel greasy.
