It’s Friday so that means it’s time for another Friday Favorites!
There have been a lot of life changes happening for me privately lately (all positive don’t worry), and I promise to share these soon. I feel like this happens to me every summer. I believe summer more than a new year is a time for re-birth.
I don’t know if it’s the long sunny days that change my perspective or if it’s just that I happen to love summer as a June baby. Any fellow cancers out there?
Lately, I’ve been narrowing down my summer style and realized that I have a warm-weather uniform – flowy dresses, comfortable flats (my Hermes sandals are always a summer essential), and a woven bag. If you go through my Instagram the last month I think you’ll start to see a pattern haha.
In today’s Friday Favorites I’m sharing my latest obsessions from what I’m currently reading, the best mini-series I’ve seen in a long time, a recent beauty favorite, and much more. If you want to read my other Friday Favorites posts click here.
FRIDAY FAVORITES: WHAT AM I LOVING
This Newest It Bag:
If you are going to get ONE bag this summer make it a woven bag. Adding texture can make any outfit more visually appealing and woven bags have been very popular with French style…which is usually the epitome of chic. I’ve been loving this mini woven tote lately as it’s the perfect size for all of my everyday essentials.
Low-Calorie Recipes for Summer:
My favorite low-calorie cocktail of all time that is incredibly easy to make and a Texas favorite. If I ever get a cocktail it’s usually this.
Making a Burrata Caprese salad is a new and delicious take on this summer classic. In my blog post, I even share my secret to using the right tomatoes for the perfect salad.
Currently Reading:
As a lover of psychological thrillers, I’m currently reading Bring me Back by B.A. Paris – one of my favorite thriller authors ever. Click here for a list of some of my favorite audiobooks.
Must-Watch Netflix Series:
Unorthodox is one of the best mini-series I’ve seen in a long time and would recommend it to anyone that loves a good drama. It’s the story of an Ultra Jewish Orthodox girl from New York who finally decides to break free from her strict community and runs away to Berlin.
There are subtitles since a lot is in Yiddish, but it couldn’t have been done any other way and makes the story better.
Latest Beauty Favorite:
I’ve been using the Revision Vitamin C 30 Lotion (the strongest Vitamin C serum on the market) since earlier this year but started to wonder if it was too harsh for my dry skin. I’ve recently switched to the Obagi Professional- C 20% and LOVE IT! After 2 weeks I’ve already noticed a change in brightness in my skin and have already purchased a backup.
What’s In My Cart:
I used to love white nails for summer and I’m wondering if they should make a comeback. O.P.I. Alpine Snow is the perfect true white.
This Loewe striped raffia bag is my latest obsession, and I just have it sitting in my shopping cart to make me feel better. Does anyone else do that?

I love a good white nail too, so you should totally bring that trend back. I’m currently still on a Twilight tirade as I continue to read and get ready for the next book coming August 4.

Thank you! I think I might bring it back. I’ve never read any of the Twilight books, but know many who have. Is there a new one coming out?
