My initial thoughts on my Hermes Oran sandals was actually one of my first blog posts on The Brunette Nomad, and one of my most viewed to-date. After owning these coveted sandals since summer 2017 I thought it was time to provide you all with an update as to whether I think these pricy sandals are worth the designer price tag.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE HERMES ORAN SANDALS
You may be thinking it’s crazy to pay for Hermes sandals when you are essentially walking on the dirty ground with your investment and you might be right. However, I have never found such a classic sandal that I know I can wear year after year.
I never worry about how my Hermes Oran sandals will pair with various outfits because it truly goes with everything.
If you are a lover of luxury or prefers buy quality over quantity then these are the shoes for you. I wouldn’t say these are the most comfortable sandals that I could walk miles in, but they are great for everyday activities from running errands to heading out to dinner and more.
These are my favorite day to night shoes.
If you want to ensure that your Hermes sandals last as long as possible then I highly recommend getting them re-soled as it’s a small investment to ensure your shoes last as long as possible. I’ve lived in my Hermes Oran sandals since summer 2017 and have only had to re-sole them once.
If you are unsure about making a big investment then I always recommend buying an inspired version to see how well it works in your wardrobe and if you’ll truly get the use out of it. That way you never have buyer’s remorse on those expensive purchases.

The best Hermes Oran sandal dupe are from French Sole for $150 and look nearly identical. However, if you’re looking for an even more affordable version a lot of bloggers have been loving the Steve Madden Greece sandals ($80). It gives you those Hermes vibes without being an exact dupe and comes in so many different colors.
If you want the real thing, but still feel uncomfortable spending that much on a pair of shoes you can always opt for pre-loved Hermes sandals. I can no longer have a Summer wardrobe without my Hermes Oran sandals and I hope to add another color to my collection soon.
So, in short, is it worth the hype and high price tag? Oh yeah!

I love how simple those sandals are but paying for the real thing just isn’t in my budget! I would consider buying the dupes though as I really like the style!

I’ve heard SO many bloggers say that those sandals are so uncomfortable! It’s good to see how well they hold up over multiple years, though. I’m a big Hermes fan myself!

That’s awesome to find another Hermes fan! Once they mold to your feet it is actually comfortable. Definitely not the most comfortable shoes I own, but I don’t wear them I need to walk a ton 🙂
