It’s not even one month into 2021 and so much has already happened so I thought it would be a great way to end the week with a Friday Favorites blog post to share all of the items I have been loving with you in one place. For those who may not know I’ve been living in temporary furnished housing since early November 2020 while my property was being remodeled (quite a stressful process).

As I write this I just moved back in without a working kitchen and all of my furniture so here’s to hoping that it is all finalized soon because this Cancer loves her home. Also just within this month my husband has been granted his green card and will be moving to the U.S. finally.

We also found a new place to live and I couldn’t be more excited to live in this new area and redecorate. It’s only 5 minutes away but feels much more urban with high rise living.

In my 15th rendition of my Friday Favorites I’m sharing my new favorite clean beauty brand that has completely changed my skin for the better, a few Chinoiserie affordable home decor finds, Netflix shows I’ve binged and more.

FRIDAY FAVORITES: WHAT AM I LOVING CURRENTLY?

Beautycounter

I have fallen in love with clean skincare and now a large portion of my everyday skincare routine consists of clean beauty brands. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin since the switch and I believe Beautycounter is a big reason why. I use the Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser and Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion on a daily basis over the last 3 months!

Chinoiserie Finds

I’ve always had an interest in home decor, but never spoken about it much on the blog. Now that my husband and I are moving into a new place all I want to purchase is home decor and I can’t stop pursuing Pinterest…it’s a problem!

My favorite decor style has always been Chinoiserie, and I’ve been able to find some surprisingly affordable decor finds at places like Amazon, Target, and more.

I have my eye on this blue and white ginger jar and foo dog trinkets that would look perfect to dress up a shelf. This floral serving tray would look beautiful on a kitchen island or coffee table with a full vase of flowers.

What I’ve Been Listening to

In the Dark (Season 2) – Podcast about the case of Curtis Flowers + how he was tried 6 times for the same crime.

The Glitter and the Gold – an autobiographical tale written by Consuelo Vanderbilt from he time as a Duchess in a loveless marriage to gaining her freedom in the 1920’s.

What I’ve Been Watching

– Bling Empire

– The Queen’s Gambit

– The Investigator: A British Crime Story

Whitney Port’s Reactions to The Hills – If you’re a millennial then you’ll remember the craze of The Hills and how we just all wanted to be Lauren Conrad. Whitney Port from the show (who went onto film her own reality series, the City) re-watches each episode for the first time in years and provides her insight from being on the show.

What’s In my Cart

– This sweet embroidered sweater from Rixo has me longing for springtime fashion

– These floral printed baking rounds are so pretty you could display them in your kitchen

– This bejeweled initial necklace because I have an obsession with initial jewelry
