I have long spoken about why I love wearing a silk blouse on the blog and how every woman truly needs one in their wardrobe. I heard about Lilysilk for years from well respected influencers that I follow but for some reason never quite pulled the trigger (call me a creature of habit).
When Lilysilk and I decided to collaborate I was surprised by their selection – they truly have the largest selection of silk blouses at a reasonable price that I have found from one retailer. Silk is their thing and I actually had a difficult time narrowing down. You know that is rare for me!
I finally settled on this intricate lace silk blouse with pearl button detail and removable tie. I mean can you get enough of THESE details?!
Are you asking yourself how can I style a silk blouse?
As you know, my fashion philosophy is all about looking for those items that pair well with everyday staples and instantly elevate a simple outfit. I like to call it big wins in fashion! Even though I’m styling just a simple pair of jeans that I wear often, throwing on a silk blouse gives it that luxe feel transforming my outfit into something more special.
Everyday Outfit: Throw on a pair of jeans with a silk blouse and ballet flats or suede booties if that’s more your vibe. You have an elevate casual outfit that’s still incredibly wearable and comfortable no matter where you’re going.
Work Outfit: If you work in a corporate setting and need to dress up for work you can easily pair a silk blouse under a pinafore style dress or style with a great pair of a tailored pair of trousers (obsessed with this plaid trouser) or a classic pencil skirt.
Date Night Outfit: The perfect date night outfit would be a pair of skinny jeans or leather jeans (if you’re wanting to amp up the sex appeal) and a great pair of heels. Stuart Weitzman nearly nude are my favorite heel because they come in multiple colors and the ankle staple and block heel make for a comfortable wear.
