Weekend Notes: New Favorite Dallas Restaurant, Summer Cocktail, Podcast & More

Dallas fashion blogger shares weekend thoughts; new favorite Dallas restaurant, Netflix series, crime podcast, Summer white blouse and more

I now live for the weekends. Going back to the traditional corporate job means that my weekends start on Friday evening. I know this sounds like an obvious statement (duh), but as someone who worked from home for almost a year and a half, it’s odd to go back this structured kind of life.

I now use the weekend as a mix of working on my blog and relaxing because your girl works HARD during the week. I’m not the best at taking care of myself so I need to give myself time off. I’m still trying to find my balance between working as a content creator and my full-time day job so I thank you for being patient with me.

In this post, I wanted to share some of my latest favorites and thoughts I have this Sunday.

WEEKEND NOTES

If you love 90’s hip hop (especially Biggie and Tupac) then you have to watch the Netflix mini-series Unsolved

I found a new podcast that I am loving and yes, it’s another crime podcast. Serial delves into one murder per season so you get an in-depth look at one case. The case in season 1 is crazy.

For all of my Dallas ladies, you have to check out Gung Ho on Lower Greenville. I first went a few months ago and have been back numerous times. The pastrami bao buns are to die for.

I have always been a big Dry Bar advocate and I still love them, but I finally discovered BAM. I always thought they were trying to be the Dry Bar, but they do much more. If you hate doing your own hair you should check out their memberships. They open up at 7 am so you can get your hair done before work. Apparently, that’s petty popular there.

I’ve been using the Rent the Runway Unlimited membership since April, and I still, love it! It’s really helped me buy less and I have access so many designers.

Ranch water, anyone? I previously wrote a blog post about my favorite Summer cocktail that is refreshing and low calorie. If I’m having a cocktail 90% of the time it’s ranch water.

The Clare V Bateau bag has become my go-to work and everyday tote this Summer. It fits everything you need, is hardwearing, and you can add a strap. I’ve been using the pink version, which surprisingly goes with so much.

This puff sleeve blouse has been the perfect addition to my Summer wardrobe. It’s a fun take on the traditional white blouse. I think I need it in the olive color too. You can see me style it with a jean skirt.

In case you didn’t know I got married at the end of July. It was a small civil ceremony as my fiance/husband is from Switzerland so we are starting the green card process before our big wedding next year. I loved how everything came together and now the planning starts for the big wedding. I promise to bring you along.
