I finally feel like I’m staying somewhere long enough to make it my home. After moving into my new place in February, I’ve been enjoying decorating it and brining out my personality in decor. One of my favorite corners in my home is my bar cart in my living room. I weirdly love looking at it everyday because I feel like I created a space that truly speaks to my style, but is still functional.

If you’re looking to add a bar cart to your home, I wanted to share 4 ways you can style chic bar cart on a budget—because home decor doesn’t have to be expensive.

HOW TO STYLE A CHIC BAR CART

FRESH FLOWERS

Continuous fresh flowers in your home is an investment, but makes all the difference. If you’re not a fresh flower person then you can opt for faux flowers, but to me, there is nothing like fresh flowers. They bring the outdoors in, make your space come alive, can compliment your decor or act as a fun pop of color. My favorite flowers to get that last more than a week are roses, tulips, and hydrangeas.

Flowers are also a great way to play around with height. Height creates interest so finding ways to add varying heights on your bar cart will be pleasing to the eye.

KEEP IT WELL STOCKED

I like to keep varying types of alcohol, wine, and sparkling water on my bar cart. To me, no bar cart is complete without bubbly because it elevates everything. If you’re looking for a mid price point bubbly that is still top notch without having to go for Veuve or Moët then try Mumm, which is usually around $20. I often pick up my wine and alcohol from Total Wine because you can do curbside pickup (great for heavy bottles) and they offer money off for purchasing 6 or more bottles.

ELEGANT GLASSWARE

Elegant glassware doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot of money and have beautiful crystal. With a husband who is so clumsy, expensive glassware is not an option in our house. I’ve purchased most of my glasses, decanters, and vases from places like H&M Home, Amazon, and Crate & Barrel. The champagne coupes on my bar cart are from Amazon and only $34 for a set of 4.

I prefer to keep a cohesive look with clear glassware, but feel free to play with color. I have my eye on these romantic green glasses from Amazon to bring out the pops of green around my home. If you’re looking to splurge,  Estelle colored glasses are very popular right now.

EYE-CATCHING PRINTS

The best way to add personality to your bar cart is through prints. When Desenio reached out to me I wasn’t sure I would find prints that would work for my style. I prefer antiques and real art, but I was pleasantly surprised by their selection. They have thousands of prints on their site so there is something for everyone. Use my code THEBRUNETTENOMAD for 10% off Desenio prints.

When creating a gallery wall or pairing more than one print together find a common color palette throughout so it’s more cohesive. The prints can even be eclectic like I have here—an elegant photograph and a modern hand-drawn shape.

Thanks to Desenio for sending me these prints. All opinions are 100% my own, and I only accept products from brands that I would purchase with my own money. Click here if you want to know more about my blog policy
